In the pre-dawn light, tea and excitement are brewing. The country wakes up alongside us as the first rays of sunlight burst over those red hills with a radiance that rivals the desert stars at night.
SADDLED UP
Details have been discussed into the evening, routes are planned and roles are assigned. So, come morning, it’s all hands on deck. The horses are saddled and the chopper is pulled out of the hangar as the team gears up for another day on the land.
MORE THAN MUSTERING
There is plenty of work behind the scenes to keep the station running efficiently and safely. Between mustering different areas, we’re busy fine-tuning our skills or fixing up anything in need of repair in the workshop. Then, we’re straight into planning the next round.
IN TUNE WITH THE LAND
The weather has been kind to us, with no rain on the horizon and a steady breeze in the air, which helps the muster flow smoothly. Our work is driven by a deep respect for the land and for our cattle, which produces sustainable beef enriched with the flavours of the Pilbara. We’re looking forward to sharing more of the journey with you as the season unfolds.
